LEAD QUALIFICATION, ENRICHMENT & SCORING
Lead Qualification, Enrichment & Scoring
What is lead qualification?
Lead qualification is the process of figuring out whether an inbound inquiry is worth a rep's time before anyone picks up the phone. That means capturing what the prospect actually needs, their budget or scope, and their timeline, then deciding if they fit what you sell. Done manually, it's a producer or founder reading a form fill and guessing. Done well, it happens in the first conversation, before a human is ever pulled in.
What is lead enrichment?
Lead enrichment adds facts about a prospect that they didn't type into a form: company size, tech stack or fleet size, funding stage or current carrier, and other public signals. Enrichment turns a name and an email into a profile a rep can actually use to open a call informed instead of cold.
What is ICP fit scoring?
ICP (ideal customer profile) fit scoring rates how closely a lead matches the customers you close and keep, typically labeled Hot, Warm, or Cold. It exists so reps spend their time on the leads worth chasing instead of triaging every inbound equally.
What's the difference between a contact form and a lead concierge?
A contact form collects a name, an email, and a message, then waits for a human to read it and decide what happens next. A lead concierge has the qualifying conversation itself: it asks the follow-up questions a rep would ask, enriches the company behind the answers, scores the fit, and hands a rep a briefing instead of a raw submission. The visitor still just types or talks. The output is what changes.
What is a sales dossier?
A sales dossier (also called a briefing) is a short written summary a rep receives before their first call with a lead: what the prospect said, what enrichment found about their company, their fit score, and a suggested way to open the conversation. It replaces the 20 minutes a rep would otherwise spend Googling a company before calling back.
HOW OPENFRONT WORKS
How OpenFront Works
How does OpenFront qualify a lead in conversation?
A visitor talks to OpenFront's concierge on your site, by text or voice, instead of filling out a form. It asks a short set of qualifying questions in plain language: what they need, budget or scope, and timeline, the same questions a rep would ask on a discovery call, just asked first.
What does OpenFront enrich about a company?
For dev agencies, that means company size, tech stack, funding stage, and decision-makers. For insurance brokerages, it means entity, fleet or payroll, revenue, current carrier, and X-date. Both feed into the same next step: a fit score your rep can act on.
How does OpenFront decide who to route a dossier to?
OpenFront rates the lead against your ICP or your appointed markets (Hot, Warm, Cold for dev agencies; in or out of appetite, with the reason, for insurance), then delivers the written dossier to the right rep by your routing rules: Slack, email, or straight into your CRM or AMS.
Does OpenFront replace my CRM or AMS?
No. OpenFront feeds it. It's the qualifying layer in front of HubSpot, Salesforce, Applied Epic, Vertafore, EZLynx, or whatever you already run, so what lands there is already enriched and scored. Nothing gets ripped out.
Is OpenFront a chatbot, or a real service?
Real. OpenFront enriches, scores, and writes the briefing, and it's built to route a qualified lead to a human, not stall in a bot loop. It's run for you, as a managed service, not software you configure and maintain yourself.
DEV AGENCY & INSURANCE BROKERAGE SPECIFICS
Dev Agency & Insurance Brokerage Specifics
We build automations ourselves. Why would we buy this?
Because you'd be building and babysitting it during the same hours you bill. OpenFront runs with zero engineering time on your end. If your homegrown pipeline already delivers briefed, scored leads, you don't need us.
We get pitched AI tools every week. How is OpenFront different?
Those are software you buy and run yourself. OpenFront is a managed service: we set up the conversation, the enrichment, and the scoring, and tune them for your business as the trial runs. For insurance brokerages specifically, it also includes a sweep of your existing dead pile, which go-forward tools never touch.
What is the 90-day dead-pile sweep?
A one-time bonus included in the insurance trial: OpenFront re-opens your last 90 days of ghosted quotes and lapsed renewals, enriches and re-scores each one against your appointed markets, and hands them back ready to re-approach. It's the one part of your pipeline a go-forward tool can't help, because those quotes already went cold before you installed anything.
How fast does a lead actually get routed?
A briefing is routed in under a minute, 24/7, including after-hours and weekend inquiries your team can't answer live. Speed matters here: about 78% of buyers go with whoever responds first, and a 5-minute response makes a lead 21 times more likely to qualify. Every hour a quote or inquiry sits, it gets colder.
What's the difference between ICP scoring and appetite scoring?
Same mechanism, different vocabulary. Dev agencies see leads scored Hot, Warm, or Cold against their ideal customer profile. Insurance brokerages see accounts scored in or out of appetite against their appointed markets, with the reason attached either way. Both exist so a rep opens a dossier already knowing whether the account is worth their time.
